Setting Off Into the Biblical Desert

Monday, November 19, 2018 |  Israel Today Staff

Our German-speaking group set off for a stunning 7-day hike through the biblical Negev desert on Monday. The 29 adventurers will follow the Israel National Trail from the Beersheva area all the way down to the Red Sea resort of Eilat over the course of the next week.

The hike began a bit south of Beersheva, actually, at the grave of Israel's first prime minister, David Ben Gurion, in Sde Boker.

All participants were put through a physical test to make sure they are up to this unique challenge.

Stay tuned for additional reports from the desert in the coming days!

Our English-language NEGEV EXTREME hike will depart in just two more weeks!

If you'd still like to join us for this special experience, our English-language hike will be departing Sde Boker on December 2, and concluding in Eilat on December 9.

There are still a few places left!
