A 21-year-old pregnant Jewish woman was shot and critically wounded, along with six other victims, in a drive-by shooting perpetrated by Palestinian terrorists on Sunday.
Demonstrating just how distant genuine peace remains, the Hamas terrorist organization, which Palestinian voters handed a parliamentary majority to in the last general election, immediately hailed the shooting as "heroic."
Just after the shooting, doctors in Jerusalem delivered the injured woman's baby, though both the child and mother remain in serious condition.
The Trump Administration also responded to the shooting, but had a very different description for it from the one offered by Hamas.
"Absolutely disgusting," tweeted US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, Jason Greenblatt. "Terrorists attack a group of Israelis celebrating Hanukkah. My prayers and thoughts are with the victims and their families."
Greenblatt also wondered with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas would condemn the attack, or join Hamas in celebrating the attempted murder of Jewish women and children.
