Scientific American, the prestigious science journal, honored Dr. Shulamit Levenberg, a 37-year-old biomedical engineer as one of the top 50 people displaying technological leadership. Levenberg is a modern Orthodox mother of five and currently working on repairing damaged brain, cartilage or other muscle tissue at the Technion. Levenberg built biological scaffolds to coax stem cells into developing into specific cell types during her post-doctoral work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
