Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni met with California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and agreed to work together to improve homeland security and tourism to Israel.

California and Israel’s Internal Security Ministry decided to team up to make this happen. A delegation of security experts from Israel will arrive to critique professionals in California and show the parallels of terror threats. American experts would also come to Israel and critique its security.

Tourism Minister Yitzhak Herzog also signed an agreement with the California governor concerning tourism.

The governor and Livni talked about the Iranian threat. Schwarzenegger also referred to immigrant absorption and said California had something to learn from Israel. Livni invited Schwarzenegger to visit Israel and he promised to come in the spring of 2007.
