Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said he is disappointed with the contining Kassam rockets fired into Israeli territory in the midst of a cease-fire, agreed upon on Sunday with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

“We are a little disappointed by this continuation of Kassam rocket fire at the South by the Palestinians,” he said. “I hope very much that the Palestinians will honor their obligations and stop the fire.”

Chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz said the army would continue to operate in Judea and Samaria despite Palestinian complaints trying to equate IDF operations there with those in the Gaza Strip.

“It is important that the IDF maintains its freedom of maneuver in the West Bank,” he said.
