Israel’s counter terrorism bureau has urged Israelis not to travel to the Sinai, and and have encouraged Israelis who are already in the Sinai to leave immediately in light of serious warnings of terror attacks against Israelis.

The warnings were issued in light of intelligence that Egyptian security has received regarding four Palestinians who belong to one of the extreme Palestinian factions who have infiltrated Egyptian territory through the Rafah border crossing.

According to a security source the suspects entered Egypt five days ago with the intention to carry out attacks against Israeli targets in retaliation for Israel Defense Forces action in the Gaza Strip.

Egypt has asked owners of various popular tourist venues throughout the Sinai Peninsula to notify police of any Palestinians staying at their sites.
