Israelis warned against traveling in India

The Counter Terrorism Division of the National Security Council and the Israeli Foreign Ministry is warning Israelis against traveling to India because of an impending terror attack by Al-Qaeda operatives.

“The information has been passed on to Israeli representatives in India and Asia, and there is a request to distribute the information to centers in which Israelis are staying,” the Foreign Ministry announced.

The National Security Council’s Counter Terrorism Division highly recommended Israelis to avoid the Goa region, especially within the coming weeks. Al-Qaeda has threatened to attack some time between Christmas and the New Year. This kind of terror warning is typical for Israelis travelers.

In spite of this, Israelis continue to travel to the region and other parts of India. There are currently between 1,600 to 2,000 Israeli tourists in the Goa region of India.
