The Rabin Square in Madrid was dedicated on December 15th and inaugurated in memory of former prime minister and defense minister Yitzhak Rabin. The Mayor of Madrid and Israeli Ambassador, Victor Harel, invited Chairman of the Rabin Center, Dalia Rabin, daughter of the late Yitzhak Rabin.

Dalia Rabin also met with members of the Jewish community and spoke with them about Israeli society and the heritage of Rabin, as well as the things done in his name.

“The city of Madrid identifies with the peace process that started 15 years ago between Israel and the Arab states, which met for the first time and broke down barriers to call for moderate peace,” said Dalia Rabin. “The peace agreement that was signed with Jordan is a result of this process that began here. I hope that all who march in this square will identify with the values of the plan: democracy, education and peace.”
