Israel, US, to tighten anti-terror cooperation

Israel and the United States are about to sign in the coming weeks an important cooperation agreement which will regulate the connection collaboration between the Israeli defense establishment and the United States Department of Homeland Security which is in charge of 22 different security and intelligence agencies within the US government.

The government has authorized Minister of Internal Security Avi Dichter to promote and sign the agreement which will increase cooperation between the two countries in the areas of anti-terrorism, including cooperation in the area of operations, intelligence transparency, technological research and development, and joint training of forces.

The agreement will allow for mutual visits of terror experts from the two countries where they will study from terror incidents and draw conclusions which pertain to both countries in the area of counter-terrorism.
