Israeli media mogul Haim Saban tops the list of all people giving political contributions in the United States with a grand total of $12,894,100 donated to political candidates.

The list was revealed by the Fox News Channel during an article about political campaigns in the US.

The article revealed that Saban is one of the chief donors of the Democratic Party, although he also contributed to Republican candidates, including President George W. Bush, and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Saban is followed by Stephan Bing who donated $9,890,493, Fred Eichner with $7,757,896, Forbes Magazine publisher Steve Forbes with $7,057,000, and James Federson, an ex-candidate for the Senate from Arizona with $6,332,548.

Saban himself is considered a close personal friend of Bill and Hilary Clinton, and is expected to be the leading donor for Hilary’s presidential bid, officially announced this past weekend.

If Senator Clinton is elected, Saban will be very close to the decision-making point and will turn into an extremely influential figure in American politics.
