Livni, Abbas to meet in Switzerland

Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni will meet with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas at an international conference in Switzerland, a Livni spokesman said Thursday.

Spokesman Mark Regev did not have any details about when the two would meet. Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert held talks last month in an effort to explore ways to restart long-stalled peacemaking.

The two are going to try to push that process forward further next month in a three-way summit with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. The date and venue for that session have not yet been set.
