An Israeli journalist was beaten to death in Vladivostok, Russia by unknown assailants over the weekend. He will be buried today.
Konstantin Borovko, 25, was probably the victim of a criminal act that turned violent, not anti-Semitism, according to Russian police.
An Israeli citizen, Borovko ran several projects for the Jewish Agency in the area. He was a reporter for one of Vladivostok’s largest television stations and was known in the Jewish community.
The local Jewish community and Jewish Agency officials have pitched in to help Borovko’s family since the attack and Jewish Agency Chairman Ze’ev Bielski has called on local authorities to fully investigate the murder and bring those responsible to justice.
