The Israeli fashion store JUMP has landed in the Ukraine announcing plans to open a chain of stores in Eastern Europe. Three flagship stores have already been opened in Ukraine and another three will open in the coming months.
“As part of the company's growth strategy, we have established an organizational infrastructure which is capable of supporting international activity,” said Menahem Kofits, JUMP owner and CEO. “Since 2003, the company has been manufacturing and exporting collections for business partners abroad, and now we are opening an independent chain of stores in Eastern Europe which will base its operations on this infrastructure, including a large design center and a logistic center supporting the future growth in additional international markets.”
Some 400,000 Euros (roughly $526,000) were invested in JUMP's first three stores in Ukraine, two in Kiev and one in Odessa, in large shopping malls. Additional JUMP stores are slated to open throughout Eastern Europe in the summer of 2007 and up to 12 stores by 2008.
JUMP is a private company, established in 1981. The chain currently has 56 stores in Israel. The company sells more than 1.5 million articles of clothing a year.
