Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow bought a $5.5 million Manhattan penthouse from Israeli real estate mogul Lev Leviev.
Leviev recently purchased half of the top of the Apthorp building in the Upper West Side of Manhattan, New York City.
River Lofts, built by Africa Israel Investments Group, which is chaired by Leviev, is located in the prestigious Tribeca area, which is becoming one of the more sought after neighborhoods in the city.
Other celebrities who will be residing in the towers include actress Meryl Streep, who purchased a $10 million penthouse, and actor Harvey Keitel who will also be living next door.
Paltrow will be living in a 4,822 square foot apartment with her husband, singer Chris Martin and their two children.
Africa Israel has recently expanded purchasing in New York City, including the historic building in Manhattan for $426 million, which it plans on turning into luxury apartments.
