Despite a commandment to refrain from eating leavened bread, some restaurant chains are gearing up for the high demand of non-Kosher foods during Passover, Domino’s Pizza being one of them.
The Domino's Pizza chain began preparing for Passover by increasing its delivery service workers as sales are expected to rise during this holiday.
Almost all of the chain's stores are expected to remain open throughout the holiday in order to deliver pizzas to Israelis who do not keep kosher. This is a result in the noted rise in sales in previous years during Passover.
Pizzas will only be delivered to homes and will not be sold in stores. Domino’s has approximately 23 stores throughout the country.
Domino’s Pizza Israel’s CEO, Assaf Greenberg, expects a 50 percent rise in sales during Passover and a 30 percent rise in sales before the holiday.
