“We’re children, marching and singing…”

Messianic Alliance of Israel puts on first musical children’s festival

It was a night of tap, dance, ballet, rap, country, singing and skits in a packed house, hopping and bopping with Messianic children from all over the country.

It was the “Giboray HaEmuna” (Heroes of the Faith) concert that kept the usually rambunctious children on the edges of their seats at full attention and with utmost excitement, joining in whenever possible at the Pavilion in Jerusalem.

In the first Messianic children’s music festival put on by the Messianic Israel Alliance and “The Seal” (HaHotam), singers and dancers came from all over the country to bring something special to Israel’s Messianic youngsters.

The story took the children through the Bible, teaching them about the heroes of the faith. They sang songs about Noah, David, Moses, the 10 commandments and much more. The performers also taught messages of friendship and how each person is created individually and special by God.

Parents were just as thrilled as their children, not only for the positive influence it had on their little ones. They too were also up on their feet singing and clapping.

“I loved it,” Alina Theodor, the mother of two girls, told Israel Today. “I think it’s wonderful we have such a thing for our children because there’s so many things they see and like in the world and this is something they love that has meaning. My girls can’t stop singing the songs.”

“Giboray HaEmuna” was originally performed for Purim earlier in the month, but because of the great demand and standing-room-only crowd, it had a second showing. The production is to be released on DVD.
