Fatah launches 'Summer Storm' against Israel

Two terrorist cells affiliated with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah movement announced this week the start of the "Summer Storm" campaign of violence against the Jewish state.

According to a statement released by one of the groups, the campaign will include increased "guerilla" operations in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip, and the continued firing of rockets at communities in southern Israel.

The terrorists urged all other Palestinian groups to likewise "hit the Zionist enemy, intensify martyrdom operations and burn (the southern Israel towns of) Ashkelon and Sderot."

They said the new wave of violence was a reaction to ongoing Israeli counter-terrorism operations in Judea and Samaria, which the terrorists and their political leaders insist constitute unjustified aggression against the Palestinians.
