Computer software giant Microsoft is set to expand its Israel operations with the opening of a new research and development center in the Tel Aviv suburb of Herzliya.
Microsoft already maintains a large R&D center in the northern port city of Haifa.
The new center will eventually employ 550 developers tasked with creating new internet applications, as well as security and telecommunications products, reported Ynet.
The Jewish state has become a favorite source of brainpower for leading technology firms like Microsoft and Intel, which also has a major R&D facility in Israel.
