IDF being restrained until Israelis are killed

Israel has operational plans to deal decisively with the Gaza-based terrorist infrastructure, but is waiting to send the army into action until terrorist-fired rockets manage to actually kill Israelis.

That according to unnamed Israel Defense Forces (IDF) officials who spoke to the Yisraeli daily newspaper.

The officials said Gaza and the surrounding areas in southern Israel will be "heating up" in the coming months.

Palestinian terrorists operating out of the volatile coastal strip fired at least eight rockets at nearby Israeli towns and communities at the weekend. In one attack, a rocket scored a direct hit on a family home in the working-class town of Sderot. The family was not in the house at the time.

After the barrage, Defense Minister Amir Peretz told reporters, "We are prepared for a war in Gaza... There is a plan."

Residents of southern Israel have long criticized the government for being unwilling to effectively defend them without the spilling of enough Jewish blood to satisfy their diplomatic considerations.
