Israel invites Palestinian Christians for Pentecost

Israel will open its gates to thousands of Palestinian Christians who want to visit holy sites in Jerusalem, Haifa, Nazareth and Tiberias for Pentecost later this month.

An Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman told Israel National News that "preparations will be made in order to allow quick, comfortable and efficient passage through the checkpoints for the Christian population."

By contrast, Jews wishing to visit holy sites located in Palestinian Authority-controlled areas must do so under heavy guard for fear of attacks by local Arabs acting with the tacit approval of their leaders and security forces.
