Palestinian journalist slams Hamas' use of Mickey Mouse

A respected Palestinian journalist reporting out of the Gaza Strip slammed Hamas' use of a Mickey Mouse look-alike to teach hatred of Israel, while completely ignoring that far more Palestinians have been killed by Palestinians this year than by the Israeli army.

Farfur the Mouse is the star of the "Tomorrow's Pioneers" weekly program on Hamas' Al Aqsa TV. Since the show went on the air earlier this year, Farfur has been teaching young Palestinians to "resist" Israel at all costs and to seek global Islamic domination.

Speaking to The Jerusalem Post, the unnamed journalist blasted Hamas for "turning Mickey Mouse into a monstrous figure. When you spread such messages of hatred, especially among children, you then can't ask why young men grow up to become so violent and ruthless."

When the Palestinians signed the so-called "Oslo Accords" with Israel, they vowed to put an end to all forms of incitement against Israel. That pledge has since been violated at every opportunity.
