Hamas-linked Palestinian terrorists say they timed a fatal rocket barrage on the southern Israel town of Sderot on Monday to coincide with Israel's evening television news programs.

A spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) vowed in remarks to Ynet to continue launching attacks from the Gaza Strip, and to do everything possible to maximize their effect on Israeli morale.

Monday's salvo left one Israeli women dead and another 13 people wounded. The fatality occurred when a PRC rocket scored a direct hit on the woman's vehicle as she and two others were parking at a local bakery.

The entire episode played out on prime-time Israeli television, as reporters in the field kept the nation abreast of developments from the battered town of Sderot.
