Israel's Foreign Ministry battles hatred on the Internet

Tuesday, May 29, 2007 |  by Staff Writer

Israel's Foreign Ministry has launched a concerted effort to combat anti-Israel propaganda that is flooding the Internet, Ynet recently reported.

The focus of the campaign is the mega-video site YouTube, which hosts hundreds of anti-Israel video clips that have elicited thousands of comments hostile toward the Jewish state. A number of other video and online community sites are also in the ministry's sights.

Helping in the effort are thousands of Jewish and Israeli volunteers from around the world who spend hours every day responding to such videos and comments with the truth of what is really happening on the ground.
