Israeli security forces last month captured two Palestinian women who intended to blow themselves up among crowds of Israeli civilians, according to a statement released Wednesday.

The two women, one of them a pregnant mother of eight, were nabbed at the Erez Crossing between northern Gaza and Israel. Security officials told Ynet that the would-be killers tried to exploit Israel's policy of allowing entry to Palestinians seeking medical care.

Interrogators learned that the intended targets were the cities of Tel Aviv and Netanya.

In other terror-related news, two more Palestinian rockets slammed into the southern Israel town of Sderot on Thursday morning. One rocket scored a direct hit on a parked car. A number of people were treated for shock.
