Google further entrenches itself in Israel

Google this week opened yet another office and research and development center in Israel with the dedication of its new Tel Aviv branch.

The Tel Aviv office will also deal with local advertising sales.

Google recently became Israel's most visited website, following last year's launch of the Hebrew version of Google News.

Israel is an increasingly popular destination for American computer and technology companies looking to outsource their research and development. Giants such as Microsoft and Intel maintain R&D departments in Israel that have in the past churned out some of those companies' most innovative products.
