Hamas and allied terror groups are reportedly transferring huge quantities of arms and ammunition into the Gaza Strip without interference, following the ruling terror group's military conquest of the area at the weekend.
Hamas won last year's parliamentary election in a landslide, but was unable to exert its authority over the official Palestinian Authority security forces, which are largely loyal to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and his Fatah movement.
But the numerically inferior Hamas forces crushed their Fatah-aligned rivals in a major military offensive over the past several days, putting the Gaza-Egypt border crossing firmly in the hands of avowed terrorists.
It was unclear why Egyptian forces on the other side of the border were doing nothing to stem the flow of arms.
