Palestinian teens loot Jewish cemetery

Wednesday, June 27, 2007 |  by Staff Writer

Three Palestinian teens were caught looting a Jewish cemetery in central Israel on Wednesday, reported Israel National News.

Police spotted the Arab youths sneaking through the cemetery with a large bag, which they later discovered was filled with iron candle holders that Jews in Israel traditionally attach to the graves of their loved ones.

The thieves were taken into custody for questioning.

The incident received almost no press coverage, being a relatively minor offense. However, had the looters been Jews and the cemetery full of Palestinian graves, it would likely have been front-page news.
