Five Israelis soldiers were wounded Wednesday evening during anti-terror operations in the West Bank (Samaria) town of Nablus.
The injuries occurred in two separate roadside bomb attacks perpetrated by local Palestinian terrorist forces. Three of the soldiers, including an officer, were listed in moderate condition.
Nablus has been described by Israeli military officials as a hub of Palestinian terrorism, and has been the focus of constant counter-terrorism operations for the past six months.
In related news, Israeli troops shot and wounded three Islamic Jihad terrorists near the northern Samaria town of Jenin on Wednesday.
The wanted men were taken to an Israeli hospital for treatment and will be allowed to fully recover there before being handed over to security officials.
