Britain won't let rejection of Israel prevent birth of Palestine

Britain's House of Lords this week said that the European Union should not let Hamas' rejection of Israel's existence prevent the creation of an Arab state called “Palestine” or stop the international community from engaging the terror group on the diplomatic level.

The British parliament released a report on Tuesday calling on the EU to avoid an “undesirably rigid” approach to Hamas, while still pressing the group to renounce violence and accept Israel, reported The Jerusalem Post.

A spokesman for the House of Lords said that “progress should not be scuppered” just because the majority faction in the Palestinian parliament seeks to destroy the Jewish state.
