Palestinian rocket kills two Arab children

A short-range missile fired by Palestinian terrorists at southern Israel fell short of its mark on Tuesday morning, killing two children and wounding another five in the Gaza Strip town of Beit Lahiya.

The deceased, an eight-year-old boy and his six-year-old sister, were playing at their house with the other wounded children when the rocket struck. It had been aimed at the nearby Israeli town of Sderot.

Unlike when rockets do hit southern Israel, no Palestinian group was willing to take responsibility for Tuesday's misfiring.

A day earlier, Gaza-based rocket crews did manage to hit Sderot, damaging a kindergarten and several surrounding buildings. No injuries were reported.
