Israeli troops rescue Jewish girls from Arab father

Israeli soldiers and police officers entered a village under full Palestinian control near the Judean town of Hebron on Thursday to rescue two small Jewish girls who had been kidnapped by their Palestinian father.

Two weeks ago, a court ordered the father to return the girls to the custody of their Jewish mother. He refused.

The girls, aged 18 months and 4, were found safe and sound inside their father's home in the village of Beit Ula. Security forces are still searching for the father.
