Palestinian Arab gunmen ambushed a vehicle carrying three Israelis in Samaria (the so-called “West Bank”) on Friday as Jews throughout the country were celebrating the Rosh Hashanah holiday weekend with hiking and camping trips.
Two Israeli women were lightly wounded in Friday's attack and a male passenger was treated for shock. Israeli troops set up additional roadblocks in an effort to apprehend the assailants.
The terrorists were said to belong to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah faction.
