Israel's consul general in Boston, Nadav Tamir, was invited to throw out the first pitch at a Boston Red Sox's game at Fenway Park this week.

Tamir threw the pitch before a sell-out crowd of tens of thousands of Red Sox fans, whose team is currently leading the American League East division just weeks ahead of the post season playoffs.

Also present at the game was Larry Baras, president of the new Israel Baseball League (IBL), which concluded its inaugural season last month. Baras is in the US to promote the IBL during the Major League Baseball playoffs.
