Israel's Home Front Command launches new website

Israel's Home Front Command this week launched a new website in Hebrew, English and Arabic with detailed instructions for the public on how to identify and respond to natural disasters, acts of terrorism and missile strikes against the Jewish state.

Missile and rocket threats against Israel have become increasingly potent amid ongoing strikes on communities in southern Israel and following Hizballah's massive 4,000-rocket assault on northern Israel last summer. Additionally, most Israelis believe they are closer than ever to suffering a long-range missile attack from either Syria or Iran.

All new Israeli homes are equipped with private bomb shelters, while older buildings are required to have a communal safe room.

The Home Front Command site can be found at: www.oref.org.il
