New symbol of the struggle

Thursday, January 06, 2005 |

Instead of the Star of David badge campaign against the disengagement plan women from the hills south of Hebron came up with a new symbol for the struggle: an orange band, much like the red AIDS ribbon. It will also be a sign of solidarity with the settlers of Gush Katif. On Wednesday they already handed out thousands of those ribbons and plan to produce one million and get Israelis of all political views to wear them. Members of Sharon’s Likud Party Yuli Edelstein and Ehud Yatom are already donning the ribbons.
