A enormous Israeli flag produced by an Israel-loving Filipino Christian was certified by the Guinness Book of Records on Sunday as the largest flag in the world.

Unfurled on the desert floor below the ancient Dead Sea-area stronghold of Masada, the flag was measured at 2,165 feet long and 330 feet wide. The massive banner weighs over 11,000 pounds.

Filipino entrepreneur and Evangelical Christian Grace Galindez-Gupana told The Associated Press that she had the flag made as a sign of her love for Israel and the Jewish people.

Senior officials from Israel's Ministry of Tourism were on hand for the event.
