Palestinian election candidate Dr. Mustafa Barghouti was expelled from Jerusalem on Friday after trying to enter the Temple Mount in defiance of a police ban on campaigning at the site. He was detained for questioning Friday afternoon after violating agreements reached with the PA which forbid election campaigning on the mount. An hour-and-a-half later, Barghouti was released and escorted to a checkpoint on the outskirts of Jerusalem.
