A group of 40 Iranian Jews landed in Israel late Tuesday to start new lives in their ancestral homeland.
The Jewish Agency arranged for the group's escape from the Islamic Republic via a unnamed third country, where its members were processed for immediate immigration to the Jewish state.
Jewish Agency officials told The Jerusalem Post that Iran's remaining 25,000 Jews are starting to realize that they have no future in Iran, which is today ruled by a regime that seems bent on perpetrating another Holocaust.
Counting Tuesday's arrivals, nearly 250 Iranian Jews immigrated to Israel in 2007. Their names are never published for fear of reprisals against family members remaining in Iran.
