Israel's Channel 2 News showed footage on Thursday of Gaza-based Palestinian terrorists nearly downing an Israeli military helicopter providing cover for ground forces.
The footage was shot during an intense exchange between terrorists and Israeli troops sent into Gaza to disrupt ongoing rocket attacks on southern Israel. A streak of light launched from the area the terrorists were taking cover was shown just barely missing the hovering helicopter gun ship.
During that and at least two other anti-terror operations in Gaza on Thursday Israeli forces killed five armed Palestinian terrorists and wounded several others.
The Israeli air and ground strikes came after Palestinian terrorists operating out of Gaza fired 11 rockets at the battered southern Israel town of Sderot on Wednesday. An Israeli woman was treated for shock following the barrage.
