Palestinians exploit European aid for terror

Israeli security officials released for publication on Saturday the recent apprehension of Palestinian terrorists who were trying to transport dangerous chemicals from Judea and Samaria to the Gaza Strip.

The 6.5 tons of confiscated potassium nitrate, which is used to make bombs and rockets, was disguised as European Union humanitarian aid. It was discovered by soldiers at an Israeli military checkpoint.

Another checkpoint near the Palestinian-controlled town of Nablus thwarted a terrorist attack on Saturday when two Palestinian Arabs were caught there with concealed knives.
