Palestinians attack Jewish religious school

Friday, January 25, 2008 |  by Staff Writer

Palestinian terrorists infiltrated a Jewish community south of Bethlehem in the Gush Etzion region on Thursday evening. Wielding a pistol and a knife, the terrorists entered the library of the community's yeshiva and threatened students and counselors gathered there.

Security officials believe the terrorists intended to hold the yeshiva students and staff hostage.

Two armed school counselors struggled with and finally killed the two terrorists, but not before suffering light stab wounds.

It was later revealed that the two 20-year-old terrorists were released from an Israeli prison just last week.

Successive Israeli governments have come under intense criticism for setting free Palestinian terrorists as goodwill gestures toward Mahmoud Abbas' Palestinian Authority despite the fact that many return to anti-Israel violence.
