The body of a Hod Hasharon woman, Mary Politi, who went missing in Thailand when the tsunami hit Southeast Asia, was identified, Israel Police said Tuesday. Her body is to be flown to Israel on Tuesday. Mary and her husband, David, had been staying at a hotel on the island of Koh Phi Phi, Thailand when the tsunami hit. She is survived by her husband and three children. Mary's sister, Gabi, said Tuesday that she had been holding on to the hope that her sister was alive and that someone had rescued her. "At least now we have a grave, somewhere we can visit her," Gabi said. The identification of Politi's body has reduced the number of Israelis missing to two. A private search for Uzi Shagai, and his girlfriend of three years, Aya Shifra, who also were missing in Thailand, was called off.
