Two Israeli sisters, aged 12 and two, were wounded on Wednesday when a rocket fired by Arab terrorists operating out of the Gaza Strip hit a playground near their home in southern Israel.
The girls' mother was treated for shock following the wounding of her daughters. At least 10 other children were miraculously spared injury or worse because they had left the playground just seconds before the rocket struck.
Another rocket fired in the same barrage scored a direct hit on a home in the nearby town of Sderot. Several people were treated for shock following that attack.
Five more rockets were fired at Sderot earlier in the day, but caused no injuries or damage.
