Civilian contractor given military funeral

Gideon Rivlin, 50, was killed and three soldiers were wounded when an explosion occurred near an IDF jeep patrolling along the hothouses of the settlement of Morag in south Gaza, on Wednesday. Rivlin was a private contractor who worked for the Gaza Regional Council and was working on the construction of a security fence near the hothouses of Morag when the explosion occurred. He was a resident of the Gush Katif settlement of Ganei Tal. Rivlin was laid to rest in the Gush Katif cemetery in a military funeral, as he was working with the security forces when he was killed by the terrorists.
