Gaza Strip crossings closed until further notice

The three main terminal crossings – Karni, Erez and Rafah - connecting the Gaza Strip to Israel and Egypt are being closed until further notice, Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and army chief Moshe Ya'alon decided Friday. The crossings are to remain closed until the Palestinians take steps to fight terrorism. The Karni Crossing was shut down shortly after Thursday night's attack. The Rafah crossing, in the southern Gaza Strip, and the Erez crossing, in the northern Gaza Strip, were both closed in recent weeks following terrorist attacks, which cost the lives of Israeli civilians and security forces.
