PA to terrorists: Attacks on crossings a red line

Friday, January 14, 2005 |

Three militant groups, Hamas, the Popular Resistance Committee and the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades have claimed joint responsibility for the attack at the Karni Crossing. The Palestinian Authority has told these Palestinian groups that carrying out these attacks against Israelis at border crossings that are used by Palestinians is a “redline.” In response to the attacks the crossings are closed by the Israeli authorities and the innocent Palestinian population is harmed, since the crossings are used by Palestinians to move from one area to another as well as to carry foods, medicines, and other needed supplies into Palestinian areas.
