Terror alert grips Jerusalem

Traffic snarled many of Jerusalem's major roads on Wednesday morning as security forces conducted spot checks in response to an intelligence warning of an impending terrorist attack in the capital.

The alert level was lowered slightly later in the day, though police remained deployed and vigilant in the city.
