Palestinian forces operating out of northern Gaza fired at least a dozen mortar shells at communities in southern Israel on Tuesday.

All of the shells landed in open areas and caused no injuries or damage.

Earlier in the day, a young Israeli girl was lightly wounded when stone-throwing Palestinian Arabs attacked her family's vehicle near the Judean town of Bethlehem.
