Ahmadinejad now questioning 9/11 attacks on US

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has moved on from his conspiracy theories surrounding the Nazi Holocaust, at least temporarily, in order to call into question the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.

Speaking at a mosque in the city of Qom Wednesday, Ahmadinejad challenged the official death toll from the attacks, claiming that "four or five years ago, a suspicious event occurred in New York. A building collapsed and they said that 3,000 people had been killed but never published their names."

The Iranian asserted that the US had fabricated the high death toll, and may have even carried out the attacks itself, in order to justify going to war against the Muslim regimes in Afghanistan and Iraq as part of some "Christian Crusade" against Islam.
