Sharon cuts ties with Abbas

Sunday, January 16, 2005 |
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suspended all contact with the Palestinian Authority, including meeting with the new PA chairman, Mahmoud Abbas, demanding that the PA make a real effort to stop terror in the wake of the Karni Crossing attack. Israel charged that the PA officials had in effect assisted in the attack by allowing the gunmen to reach the site unimpeded.
